Really?

Do people really buy $50 jeans for their babies?$65 boots? $80 rompers?$800 strollers?

I'm never feeling guilty for shopping at the Carter's outlet again.

Michelle I miss you! I was just looking at your blog and realizing that we still haven't been able to get together for a lunch or ANYTHING. I know you're a busy mommy now, but maybe when Kaiya is a little older we can meet up. Like, say, this summer?????????

It is ridiculous how much you can spend on baby clothes and they maybe can only fit into them for 3 months. I buy EVERYTHING on sale, especially if it's name brand. My in-laws spend a bit of money on Brooklyn's church dresses but surprisingly she has been able to wear them for quite a while.

Yes. Yes. And yes. Some even buy $120 jeans for their infants, who will only fit in them for about 2 months.

I'm not even feeling guilty for multiple Target trips a month any more!

Hello that romper is worth it! It says "juicy" for heaven sakes!

Man oh man... My eyes were opened to this kind of spending while we were in Vegas and I needed to buy something warm for Jake to wear. Good thing we found a Baby Gap with a clearance rack, otherwise the kid would have been cold.

Stroller? I had one, but most of the time I carried my baby around on my hip. New shoes? I'd check the big box of out-grown shoes in the basement before heading to the store! I'll admit, sometimes I was insane. But today when shopping, I still walk to the clearance rack first.

I laugh reading your mom's entry, because I think it's an inherited trait to look for sales and such. Our parents would never do it so we can't bring ourselves to either. Anyway, I always found it ridiculous when they can wear them once and then outgrow them. No thanks.

Oh man, I HATED that big box of my sisters' old shoes. I usually had my own (new) tennis shoes, because they tend to wear out quicker, but I always had to wear hand-me-down church shoes. It sucks being the third girl.

ummm actually I know someone who bought her five year old daughter true religion jeans that were $150 dollars! AND her daughter refused to wear them!

Um, I am going to be the voice of dissent here. I totally would. Maybe it's because I'm shallow, maybe it's because I'm single and see kids as living accessories, or maybe it's because I don't actually have to think about clothing a child and the fiscal responsibility that entails...but I totally would. Sorry.
