I'm easily entertained.
Today is a teacher development day (aka: no students), and since grading papers is B.O.R.I.N.G., I started making a list of ridiculously misspelled words I found in my students' handwritten essays. Sometimes it takes a while to figure out what they're trying to say, so I've included an English translation. Keep in mind, these are sophomores! Here are my favorites:
"romodel” = role model
“eterny” = attorney
“ferindly” = friendly
“mischeff” = mischief
“nife” = knife
“inecinse” = innocence
“inecint” = innocent
“race’s” = racist
“flasely” =falsely
Geez, who is these kids' teacher? I swear, spell-check has ruined Generation Y.
