Elder Brett Kempton Lee

Laurel already talked about this on her blog... but I'm excited too! Brett got his mission call this week. He's been called to serve in the Arizona Tempe mission. Honestly, it's the last place any of us would have guessed; but it is so awesome! It just feels so right. He is such a stellar person and I know he'll be a phenomenal missionary. My mom grew up just around the corner from his mission (in Mesa), so I'm sure they'll start their own little exclusive "AZ club" soon. Brett's just bummed that the weather will force him to wear short-sleeved white shirts with a tie - a fashion faux pas that, I regret to admit, Brad has been sporting long since his mission. I love them both anyway.

Everybody wish him luck!!

p.s. Gotta hand it to Arizona for the killer desert sunsets!

Congrat's to you!!! (brett)... Nanny's gotta be thrilled! How exciting. When does he enter the MTC? Is he English or Spanish? Guess I gotta go read Laurel's blog to see if there are more details there. thanks for sharing the exciting news!
Are those coyotes on the horizon I hear? Possibly singing "Blue Shadows" with the 3 Amigos? :) I'm still trying to get my stupid thing to load the video of Brett opening his call... I'll let you know when there is success!

Congrats! What a blessing for your family. I guess I didn't realize that we had brothers the same age! At least yours will only be one stateline away rather than halfway across the world. Anyway, good luck with all of the mission prep! Oh, and I love that pic of the sunset.

I sometimes still think of Bretty as the little boy who wanted us to stay with him in Nursery. So proud of the little, I mean big guy.

Brett gets to serve in the best state in the USA. Yes, I love Utah and yes, I love Washington, but there is something so special about Arizona! Talk about family history. Brett will be a fabulous missionary, and I can't wait for the experiences that will help shape the rest of his life. Love, Mom
