I'm going on a cruise in a few months, and I've decided that I need to either get skinny or get pregnant before I go. So, which shall it be? I don't see much point in trying for both.

I'd like to think that the pregnant option has more purpose than merely validating my chubbiness... but I'm really not sure.

Yeah, nice try, you have no chubbiness! That being said I vote for the pregnant option, so much more fun that the skinny option. (Oh wait, can a R.S. Pres say that?)

ok...so coming from someone who just had a baby a week ago & went to Hawaii pregnant... go on the cruise, then get pregnant. It was SO hard being in Hawaii and not being able to really do anything (didn't help that I was chasing an 11 month old also at the time.) I would say go on the cruise and enjoy it and then get preggers after that and enjoy it!

ya, the fact that you even think in your head that you need to get SKINNY is beyond me! What kind of a mirror do you have at your house...YOU ARE ALREADY skinny!!! You need to get pregnant NOW so that in May you don't have the morning sickness and you have the perfect size bump! Plus, based on the perfect genetic mix that is Kaiya, you really need to get to work because you are required to have 10 children when they are so cute! To much ugly procreating going on.....

Thanks for the advice and for not calling me on my shallowness/laziness! Now if only it were that easy to just snap my fingers and be pregnant.... it definitely took longer than I would have liked to get Kaiya.

lets be honest. You have a super hot bod when your are and are not pregnant. It's a toss up.

Also, your blog hurts my eyes. the red and blue. Not that you'd change it just for me, but if you did I'd be grateful. =) and a more avid reader.

Valentine's Day photos

Valentine's Day seemed as good an excuse as any to schedule long-overdue photos for the kiddos. (And I'm posting all of my favorites because I can.  Also so that my mom and Marsha can tell me which ones they want me to print for them.) Ben was an absolute turd during this photo shoot, which is why I'm amazed these pictures turned out as good as they did.  I will have to Photoshop that sucker out of his hand when I order prints for the wall, though.  Here's our little GQ junior model...  Seriously, how could anyone stay mad at that face?  And here's Miss Kaiya!  She is growing up WAY too fast for my liking. This one is my favorite! So... once Ben finally cheered up, Kaiya acted up, and our attempts at getting a decent sibling photo were kinda' thwarted... This one will have to do :)

Christmas 2012

Christmas Eve We attempted to teach the Walker grandkids the nativity story by having them act it out.  Ben was uncooperative and the costumes need some work (my fault), but the kids were pretty cute nonetheless.  Ben cheered up when he got to play with this super friendly golden retriever puppy that my in-laws were babysitting/hiding (he was to be a Christmas surprise for some friends).  What is it about this breed that is so stinkin' cute!?    Kaiya decorated some cookies for Santa by emptying two jars of sprinkles. Christmas Day   Since we video taped the whole procession, we neglected to take too many pictures Christmas morning.  But here are a couple shots of the magic.  Among other things, Santa gave Kaiya a puppy... as real a puppy as she'll ever get, anyway :)   Santa also brought Ben his own little car which he's been driving around the basement for three days (alongside Kaiya on her new birt...
