Our first week at home

Kaiya is amazing. She's sitting up and eating solids and shrieking embarrassingly loudly. I'm excited for what this summer will bring. Sorry about all the pictures... I honestly don't know what else to do with my day.

She was pretty excited when her foot finally reached her mouth. (If she turns out anything like me... I'm guessing she'll put her foot in her mouth often.)





I bought her this wicked cool toy but her hands are too small to pick up the animals. Oh well. She still likes to watch me push them down the slide.



And I had to include this picture because her smirk looks just like Brad's.

Super cute! And yes, that smirk does look just like Brad's. I love it! Does it make sense that I can already tell how much you both are loving you being at home after only a week? Hooray for summertime!

cute cute baby...I want to see her again. she's a tough little bugger too, already sitting up so well!

I've pinpointed the similar features that Jack and Kaiya have in common (besides being bald)
-round heads (like Charlie Brown)
-big round eyes

yep get a concoction those two things and you have one damn adorable babe.

I'm so glad you are on board with buffy now! I think you'll be a Spuffy fan before long. (That's what you call the Spike and Buffy relationship fans.) I know. I got my nerd badge in the Scouts. I'm an eagle nerd.

Valentine's Day photos

Valentine's Day seemed as good an excuse as any to schedule long-overdue photos for the kiddos. (And I'm posting all of my favorites because I can.  Also so that my mom and Marsha can tell me which ones they want me to print for them.) Ben was an absolute turd during this photo shoot, which is why I'm amazed these pictures turned out as good as they did.  I will have to Photoshop that sucker out of his hand when I order prints for the wall, though.  Here's our little GQ junior model...  Seriously, how could anyone stay mad at that face?  And here's Miss Kaiya!  She is growing up WAY too fast for my liking. This one is my favorite! So... once Ben finally cheered up, Kaiya acted up, and our attempts at getting a decent sibling photo were kinda' thwarted... This one will have to do :)

Christmas 2012

Christmas Eve We attempted to teach the Walker grandkids the nativity story by having them act it out.  Ben was uncooperative and the costumes need some work (my fault), but the kids were pretty cute nonetheless.  Ben cheered up when he got to play with this super friendly golden retriever puppy that my in-laws were babysitting/hiding (he was to be a Christmas surprise for some friends).  What is it about this breed that is so stinkin' cute!?    Kaiya decorated some cookies for Santa by emptying two jars of sprinkles. Christmas Day   Since we video taped the whole procession, we neglected to take too many pictures Christmas morning.  But here are a couple shots of the magic.  Among other things, Santa gave Kaiya a puppy... as real a puppy as she'll ever get, anyway :)   Santa also brought Ben his own little car which he's been driving around the basement for three days (alongside Kaiya on her new birt...
