Best. Tribute. Ever.

So, remember the Gilmore Girls when Logan's friends have the Quentin Tarantino party? And Rory dresses up like Gogo and I kind of want to be her? Well, since it's my dream to live in my own personal Stars Hollow, Laurel and I put our own spin on the party idea, and threw a John Hughes party for Alicia's 30th birthday last weekend. Everybody had to dress up as their favorite character from a John Hughes movie (seriously look him up on IMBD.... you'd be suprised how many of your favorites he has written and/or directed).

Here are some highlights:

Megan as Ginny Baker (Sixteen Candles) on muscle relaxers. Doug as John Bender (The Breakfast Club) and Jen as Sloane Peterson (Ferris Beuller). Jen even added fringe to her jacket! Markelle as Iona (Pretty in Pink), Jackson as Dennis (Dennis the Menace), and Brent as Cousin Eddie (Christmas Vacation) Jason as Jack Butler, Isabel as Kenny (note the woobie), Laurel as Caroline (Mr. Mom)Scott as his interpretation of Abe Froman (Ferris Beuller). Yes, he made business cards and passed out Lil' smokies (he is "the sausage king of Chicago")
Brad as Harry (Home Alone) and me as Allison (The Breakfast Club). We look homeless.
Blaine as Blaine (Pretty in Pink) Alicia as Claire (The Breakfast Club). Her red hair turned out a bit pink... oops.
