The Walkers and then some

We recently realized that the last Walker family photograph taken was at our wedding, and the last "real" (studio) picture had been years previous to that. (Complete with family members who are no longer family members... and I don't mean that they died.) So, at Christmas, we decided current photo documentation of our family was long overdue.

Here is the result, hot off the press. Of course, Adam and Jessalyn's baby Karson was born a week later, already rendering the photo outdated. What do you do?

p.s. I think the fact that you can't see my left eye means that I need a bang trim. How is it that you can look in the mirror every day, but it takes looking at a picture of yourself to realize the obvious? I can't tell you how many times I've had film developed only to realize I should have never worn a certain shirt, skirt, hairstyle, etc. Cases in point:

I thought these sunglasses were cute 'till I saw this picture.

I didn't think this outfit was slutty 'till I saw this picture.

I thought this hairdo was cute 'till I saw this picture.

I didn't think my shoes (or my hair) were too tall 'till I saw this picture.

But apparently I didn't learn my lesson.

I didn't think I needed a tan 'till I saw this picture.

And I thought this guy was cool 'till I saw this picture.

I feel the need to mention my sad choice of horizontal stripes in the above photo as well. I think I need to take Cher's advice in Clueless, quit depending on mirrors, and start snapping Polaroids every morning.

Though I'm slightly depressed there is no photographic evidence of me up there, while there are THREE pics of Alicia, this is freaking awesome! Cher totally had it right. I remember we BOTH thought that horizontally-striped shirt was the cutest piece of fashion in our closet... Hmmm... As for the others? Somewhere in there I'm just saying "I told you so!" :)

We all know who you love best! (YES!) I love you too. As for the pics. You LOVED those sunglasses, and I always said they looked like snow goggles. You always prided yourself on being taller than dates. And finally, Mark Buffington is a douche-bag. Douche-bag! Douche-bag! Douche-bag!

I love the family pic! It was definitely overdue. (Is there still evidence of "past" family members?!) Anyway, I know I've had many epiphanies about myself after looking at pictures. I'm with you, what's up with the mirrors? I totally agree with your mom though, your gorgeous no matter what! ;)

You are too funny- thanks for taking us through the pictures. Heaven knows they are way better than what you'd find in my photo album. Cute family picture too!

I know that the acronym lol is thrown around freely these days, but I seriously laughed out loud at this entire post. Bravo to you for all these pictures...I am far too self conscious to post my regrets!

That is so funny. I love the top family photo, and I think your bangs look great. I agree with the photo thing though. I think I looked so good until I see a photo of whaty I was wearing and I start wondering what in the world I was thinking!!

You are soooo funny. I completely agree with you on the picture proof of life. For some reason, I find myself somewhat decent in the mirror and then get super depressed at picture documentation - especially when I am prego. Cher definitely knew what she was talking about. Sure love ya!

I like the new family photo. It looks like you have nice in-laws. So true about the harsh realizations that come with photos. You make me laugh Michelle.
