Okay, okay!
Geez... nobody cared if I didn't post anything for months when it was just Brad and me, but now that Kaiya is here I keep getting crap for not updating the blog. I knew having a kid would get me more attention :) Actually, I am sorry it's been so long. I thought staying home would give me all this extra time for housework, projects, blogging, etc. Ya right. If I can't keep up now, what am I going to do when I go back to work in a couple weeks?
Anyhow - without further adieu, here are some more current pictures of my one month old! She has already grown so much!
Here is Kaiya attentively watching the presidential inauguration. Really. It was funny. I tried to explain to her that despite national consensus, Barack Obama is not a god. I don't think she got it.
She's developing quite the double chin and I love it!
She definitely hates "tummy time" but she's tough. She can do push ups better than I can.
Here she is napping with Daddy in St. George over the weekend.
Here she is napping in her bouncy chair, with very prim and proper hand placement.
She loves bath time but I couldn't get a decent picture (without letting go of her and that scares me)... but here's the next best thing. Once she's all bundled in her towel, it's a mad rush to her room to get her diaper back on. It only took one big poopy mess to learn my lesson.
This was actually Brad's cradle thirty years ago. I gave it a little 2009 makeover. Pretty cool, huh?
And last but not least, I received this cute dress in the mail yesterday from my aunt Lara in California. Thank you! (I know that the leg-warmers are too big and I don't care.) It almost makes me want to buy a matching outfit and learn how to play tennis. Kaiya and I can be an adorable doubles team. On second thought, maybe I'll just buy the skirt. And a Wii.
p.s. There you go, Shannon. Can we be friends again?

I am so happy about this blogging update. And super pumped you are going to be a tennis pro. Even if it's in make-believe land. Hell, Blaine is a superb "zombie-killer", an excellent "healer", and a cimetar-weilding bad-ass.
